OnePlus 6T India price could be higher than OnePlus 6; Here’s everything we know so far

The upcoming OnePlus 6T has been leaked in great detail already. We have seen alleged press images, retail box, limited edition variant and even the alleged India pricing for the smartphone. The current generation OnePlus 6 was launched in India at Rs 34,999 and the yet-to-launch OnePlus 6T is expected to start at Rs 37,999, with higher model pricing going up to Rs 44,999.

The OnePlus 6T was scheduled to launch on October 30 originally, but after Apple’s announcement for a launch event on the same date, the Chinese smartphone maker decided to prepone the launch event of its upcoming flagship smartphone. The OnePlus 6T will now unveil on October 29 at an event in New York.

We already know that OnePlus 6T will have a ‘waterdrop-style’ notch and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It’s also been confirmed to ditch the 3.5mm audio jack. OnePlus has already announced the new USB Type-C Bullets earphones, but these will not be included in the box.

Last week, OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau took on Weibo to announce that the next OnePlus device will indeed come pre-installed with Android 9.0 Pie and some interesting new features. The post also included few screenshots giving glimpse to User Interface on the OnePlus 6T.

OnePlus 6T: Specifications, Features and Variants

The much-anticipated OnePlus 6T is expected to feature a 6.4-inch OLED display with a waterdrop-shaped notch. The handset will carry an in-display fingerprint scanner, which is a tech advancement over OnePlus 6.

The OnePlus 6T is expected to retain the same dual-camera setup as the OnePlus 6, although there could be improvements in software. The front will carry 25-megapixel selfie camera, and the battery is tipped to be of 3,700mAh. The smartphone is confirmed to ship with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box, and the latest Oxygen OS layer on top will boast all-new design and features as well.

Inside, the hardware is expected to remain same. The handset should feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. Just like the OnePlus 6, the storage variants will vary. It is tipped to come with up to 256GB of internal storage.

Recently, it was tipped that there will be a “OnePlus 6T Ultimate Limited Edition”. The smartphone was listed on a Swedish e-commerce website suggesting that this “ultimate kit” is meant for buyers who want to “get all of” their “OnePlus 6T”. It is likely that all the OnePlus 6T device accessories and other OnePlus products will be available in the box.

The listing also noted that there will be only 100 units for sale. The kit can be bought before the official launch of the OnePlus 6T, and will be delivered a day before the launch of the device. The sale is scheduled to start on October 25, five days before the official launch of the device in New York on October 29.
