Amazon is officially teaming up with Apple to sell its products

Amazon has had a long standing rivalry with Apple being two of the top tech companies in the world. And this led to Amazon not selling Apple products from its authorized resellers. But now it seems that the two companies have put aside differences in the light of greater profit making, CNET reports. Amazon has declared that it will be selling Apple products globally. This declaration come just in time for the upcoming holiday season.

Amazon which happens to be the world’s biggest online retailer will be selling all the newest Apple products in the coming weeks, which includes iPhones, iPads as well as other devices. The countries where these will be available include US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and India. Up until now Amazon only sold a limited number of items from Apple official retailers which includes Macs and Beats headphones.

There are quite a few points that are underlined with this new deal and that includes the fact that Apple and Nike, which have traditionally been averse to selling its products on e-commerce platforms are taking it up because of its prevalence and viability. This is also an attempt by Amazon to weed out the counterfeit goods that are available on the platform.

Apple declared in a statement, “We’re working with Amazon to improve the experience for Apple customers on their site and we look forward to those customers having another great way to buy iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and more.”

But this deal does not include all the products from Apple and an example of one such device would be the Apple HomePod.
