Fortnite adds free Save the World rewards along with Boogiedown Emote as reward for 2FA

Fortnite has had its share of breaches where people have lost access to their account and hackers have had a heyday. But Epic Games has always had a very proactive approach towards this problem and has tried to help out users who faced security concerns.

And now Epic Games is trying to make sure that these unfortunate things don’t happen by asking people to activate the two-factor authentication on their Epic Games accounts. And this time there is an awesome incentive for people to get the two-factor authentication activated, which is instantly unlocking the Boogiedown Emote in Fortnite Battle Royale.

And now there is a reward for Save the World players as well and they will be rewarded with the following items:

– 50 Armory Slots
– 10 Backpack Slots
– 1 Legendary Troll Stash Llama

The two-factor authentication feature from Epic Games currently supports either using an authenticator app or an email address authentication method. The code from the app or email will be asked for only the first time when logging into the account on a device, or if it has been 30 days since the last login, or the cookies has been cleared or logging in from a new device.

How to activate two-factor authentication for Epic Games:

– In your Epic Games account go to Account Settings > Password & Security tab.
– Head to the bottom of the page and under the section named Two-Factor Authentication click either Enable Authenticator App or Enable Authenticator Email based on preference.
