Google’s latest flagship Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have had a long list of bugs since their launch and many of which have been already addressed by Google. Adding to the list is another issue which is causing SMS texts disappearing for few users.
According to Android Police and some users on Reddit, the issue apparently popped up after the recent November security patch update by Google, which was also suppose to address one the issue in Google Camera app.
It is being reported that unusual disappearing of text messages in Pixel 3 devices started happening ever since Google pushed out the update. Both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL users may have been affected by this issue, although it is not confirmed if the issue is with Pixel 3 firmware or just in the Messages app.
Meanwhile, some users are also complaining that their Pixel 3 display keeps flickering because of ambient display sensor malfunctioning. One of the user even made a video of it where the display of the Pixel 3 was turned off but the Ambient Display sensor was turned on. As seen in the video, the user moves the device around and the screen begins to flicker. Even the bottom portion of the Pixel 3 display lights up with a white light while the top portion of the display remained as it is.
Google recently acknowledged RAM management issue and noted it plans to fix “in the coming weeks.” This particular RAM issue essentially causes app crashes when users combine actions from multiple apps.

We have seen many users reporting about camera app crashing in Google Pixel 3, and in particular Spotify music app unexpectedly stops working when they take pictures from the camera app simultaneously. The company has already started shipping November security patch, so it is possible that Google might ship RAM management fix in December.
