Huawei sub-brand Honor was the best selling smartphone brand on 11.11 Singles’ Day sale in China

Honor, the sub-brand of Chinese electronics and smartphone maker Huawei was the best selling smartphone brand during the recent Single’s Day sale. According to new reports on the internet, the company secured the top spot on both Tmall.com and JD.com, two of the major retailers in China. With the top spot, Honor managed to claim the bragging rights about beating Apple in the smartphone segment during the Singles’ Day sale. For context, it is an annual sale in China where almost all online sellers offer discounts on their products to pull in as many buyers as possible. The sale is held on November 11 every year.

The report also indicated that Honor Magic 2 was the top-selling smartphone during the sale in terms of sales volume and revenue. Though looking closely, the company acknowledged that the top spot here refers to smartphones ranging between $580 and $720 as price range. According to a detailed report by GSMArena, the company managed to grab the top sport in categories including Smartphone brand, Sales Volume, and Revenue, total sales revenue for Android smartphones between Nov 1 and Nov 11, Total sales volume between Nov 1 and Nov 11.

The report noted that this achievement comes days after the company sold more than 1 million devices in the Indian market. Honor achieved this mark during the recent Diwali sale offers to note a 300 percent growth in terms of the devices sold when compared to 2017.

This information comes right after a commercial revealed the front and back design of the Honor 10 Lite, the upcoming smartphone from the company. As previously reported, the company is planning to launch the device on November 21.
