PUBG PS4 release date reportedly leaked on Amazon

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG, is one of the most popular games available today. The game is available to play on Android and iOS mobile platforms, Windows PC, and Xbox One gaming console. While there have been reports about the game coming to PS4 platform, the latest leak sheds light on when it could become available on the console.

Twitter user Wario64 spotted an Amazon listing accidentally created by Sony Interactive Entertainment, which was quickly removed later. However, the user did manage to capture the screenshot and share on the social networking site. According to the listing, the PUBG for PS4 is expected to go on sale starting December 8.

While Sony and game developer Tencent haven’t said anything about the release, it is rumoured that the announcement will take place on December 6 at the Games Awards 2018. Further, the product description on Amazon comprised of the word “Sorry” and three bullet points stating “Not Avaiable Yet.” Also, the product listing did not contain any Amazon placeholder image.

Fortnite, a competitor of PUBG is already available on major gaming platforms, and it also supports cross-platform play. It has also overshadowed PUBG for quite sometime now, and with the availability of the game on PS4, things might change for good.

For the uninitiated, PUBG is a battle royale game comprising of 100 players that are transported to an island where they can land on different locations. Players can gather weapons of their choice along with supplies and stay within the “safe zone.” The win the game, one has to survive till the end using different strategies and skills, while killing the opponents.
