WhatsApp opens up iOS beta program for public

WhatsApp has opened up its iOS beta program for public now. Earlier, WhatsApp didn’t allow everyone to participate in the beta testing as it was limited to a select few. But similar to Android and Windows Phone public beta, any iOS user will now be able to use upcoming features of WhatsApp under beta.

In order to use WhatsApp beta for iOS, users will first need to download TestFlight from the App Store and then request a slot for beta tester, reports WABetaInfo. After you’ve followed the process and accepted invite, it will be added in the apps list and you can start testing WhatsApp beta for iOS.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp’s latest beta build have tipped about upcoming search feature for the stickers. It started rolling out stickers support for the Android, iOS and web platforms in late October, but unlike Gifs and emoji search, stickers didn’t have the feature working. Although, there’s no timeline on when WhatsApp will add the sticker search feature, but since its in beta testing, we expect it to arrive some time soon.

Currently, WhatsApp hasn’t kept any restrictions or limit on the number of stickers you can add to your WhatsApp account. But for those who are yet to get the Stickers for their WhatsApp, do note that WhatsApp installs sticker packs as a separate app. You can also create custom stickers as well as sticker packs for the Android and iOS platforms.
