Unless you just woke up from a very long hypersleep, you probably already know about PUBG. The online multiplayer battle royale game has taken the world by storm, breaking (and creating) all kinds of records in the process. PUBG (short for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) initially launched on Microsoft Windows back in March last year and has since been made available for major gaming consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, it’s the game’s mobile version that has truly gotten everyone hooked into playing it anytime and anywhere.
Aptly-named PUBG Mobile, the game has been available on both iOS and Android for quite some time now, raking in more than 100 million downloads on the latter platform alone.
However, even after all this popularity, there could be smartphone users out there who still haven’t played the game. If that includes you, and you want to try out PUBG Mobile for yourself and find out what the hype is all about, you should check thing out. But, before you do that, you need to know whether your smartphone is good enough to handle PUBG Mobile, since it’s not exactly a lightweight mobile game. Here are the minimum requirements to play PUBG Mobile on both iOS and Android.
For iOS
PUBG Mobile is compatible with a vast array of Apple devices. The game works on iPhone XS Max, iPhone 5S, and all other iPhones in between. It’s also compatible with most iPads, ranging from iPad 2 to the latest iPad Pro (2018). The only requirement is that your device should be running iOS 9.0 or any version up from that.
It’s worth mentioning that while older iPhones and iPads will still run the game, they may not be able to give you the smoothest experience.

For Android
In case you have an Android device (smartphone or tablet), it must be running Android 4.3 or any version up from that. As far as hardware requirements go, your Android device should have at least 2GB of RAM and almost an equal amount of space to run the game properly.
