PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) is one of the most popular Battle Royale games in the world at the time of writing. Both PUBG Corp, the company behind PUBG and Epic Games, the company behind the popular Fortnite are working to gain as many players as possible while gradually launching versions for different device types. Both the game developers are constantly trying to improve the gaming experience on their game so that users will be able to improve the performance and experience for players in their respective games. The reason for this is simple, the better the experience and performance, the more likely the player will be back for more.
In the constant quest for more, server and connectivity issues, however rare, are not really acceptable. But something similar happened on October 17 which rendered the game “unplayable so some”. PUBG Corp acknowledged the issue on its official Twitter handle and as a compensation, it is giving a time-limited free item to the players along with 20,000 BP (Battle Points). The thing to note here is that these rewards are only available till October 23 for players on the PC. According to the details of the problem, a Live server maintenance was scheduled for early hours of the day and it was later extended by two hours.

According to a report by PCGamer, the Live servers were reinstalled and then uninstalled “a number of times” which lead to the connectivity issue in the game. The problem extended to matchmaking and players were greeted with “Network Lag Detected” error while trying to game.
As part of the compensation, PUBG Corp is giving away a free Black Beanie with headphones item along with 20,000 BP.
