Airtel introduces Rs 398 prepaid recharge with unlimited calls, 1.5GB daily data and more

Telecom operators are revising their prepaid plans every week, and also introducing new plans with increased benefits. Airtel already has a plan priced at Rs 399, which is a segmented offer, and now, the teleco has introduced a new plan priced at Rs 398 which will take on the Reliance Jio’s Rs 398 plan, and Vodafone’s Rs 399 plan.

Talking about benefits, the Airtel Rs 398 prepaid plan offers unlimited local and national calls without any FUP. Users also get 100 local and national SMS daily. The plan is valid for 70 days, and also includes 1.5GB daily data with 3G / 4G speeds. This means, through the validity, users can download up to 105GB data.

As noted by TelecomTalk, it is an open market plan available for all Airtel prepaid users across India. There is another plan priced at Rs 399, which is a segmented plan, where some users get 70 days validity, whereas other get 84 days validity. While other benefits remain the same as Rs 398 plan, the data benefit is a bit less at 1.4GB per day.

In comparison, Reliance Jio has a Rs 398 plan that offers 2GB daily data, and validity of 70 days. Rest of the benefits such as unlimited calls without FUP and 100 free SMS daily remain the same. Similarly, Vodafone has a plan priced at Rs 399 with 70 days validity, 1.4GB daily data, 100 free SMS daily and unlimited calls with FUP of 250 minutes per day, and 1,000 minutes per week.
