Airtel, like all other incumbent telcos, is going all aggressive with its prepaid plans to take on Reliance Jio. The company is constantly revising its talk plans, and has also made it mandatory to recharge with at least Rs 35 in every 28 days to keep the connection active. While Airtel recently removed the Rs 549 and Rs 799 prepaid recharges, it has introduced a new Rs 419 prepaid plan with voice and data benefits.
It is an open market plan that is available to all users in Airtel’s telecom circles, Telecom Talk reports. Talking about the benefits, Airtel is offering unlimited local and national calling without any FUP. The plan also includes 100 free SMS daily.

The validity of Airtel Rs 419 prepaid plan is 75 days, and users get 1.4GB high-speed 4G data daily. This means users can download up to 105GB data during the validity period. If a 4G network isn’t available, it will fall back to 3G or 2G, whatever is available.
Airtel also has a Rs 399 prepaid plan that also offers unlimited calls, and 1.4GB daily data. However, the validity of this plan is 70 days. Also, the plan benefits changes from user to user, while some get 70 days validity, some get 84 days validity in different circle.
Airtel’s Rs 419 plan will closely compete with two of prepaid plans from Reliance Jio. The telco has Rs 398 and Rs 399 plans, both offering unlimited local and national calling, unlimited SMS (100 per day) and complimentary access to Jio app suite. The data benefits and validity is something that changes between both the plans. The Rs 398 plan offers 70 days validity and 2GB daily data, whereas the Rs 399 plan offers 1.5GB daily data 84 days validity.
