Samsung has teased the launch of its next high-end mobile chipset. The company will be revealing this new Exynos chipset later this week on November 14, which will no doubt power next year’s flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone.
The announcement was teased on Samsung Exynos’ Twitter handle. The tweet included an image with the words ‘Intelligence from within’ and the November 14 date. The tweet was followed by the caption: ‘Think next. #TheNextExynos’

Samsung hasn’t really revealed what its next-gen mobile chipset will be called. But if rumors are to go by, it will be called Exynos 9820. As the name suggests, this will be the successor to the Exynos 9810, which currently powers the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, and the Galaxy Note 9.
Based on what has been reported so far, the upcoming Exynos 9820 chipset will be fabricated using the 7nm process. This means after Apple and Huawei, Samsung will be hopping onto the 7nm bandwagon. The chipset is expected to boast eight cores, which will include two Exynos M4 big cores, two Cortex-A75 or A76 cores, and four small Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.

The chipset will no doubt be powering next year’s flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone. On the device, the upcoming Exynos chipset is expected to be paired with ARM’s MALI-G76 GPU that was announced back in May. It will be ARM’s first 7nm GPU that will bring 30 percent performance improvements, while also bringing 30 percent energy efficient at the same time.
Another interesting leak recently hinted at the Exynos chipset featuring a dual-core Neural Processing Unit. The NPU is expected to handle most of the AI-based tasks. Besides that, it is also rumored to work with the ISP on the Galaxy S10 lineup to boost the camera performance.
