Honor Band 4 launching alongside Honor 8C in India on November 29

Honor, the e-brand of Chinese smartphone maker Huawei, is set to launch its next mid-range smartphone, the Honor 8C in India on November 29. Alongside the smartphone, the company is also said to launch its wearable fitness tracker in the Indian market. Like the Honor 8C, the Honor Band 4 will also be sold exclusively via Amazon India.

Honor Band 4: Key features and Price

Honor Band 4 is the newest wearable fitness tracker from the Chinese smartphone maker and it has been launched in China. It sports a 0.95-inch AMOLED panel with 2.5D curved glass on top of it. It has a circular home button at the front to aid in navigating the features. The successor to Honor Band 3 is also the first from the company to feature a color display.

Honor claims the fitness tracker has a 6-day battery life with its 100mAh battery. In China, it is priced at RMB 199 (around Rs 2,000) and when it launches tomorrow, it is expected to challenge the Mi Band 3 from Xiaomi. Among other features, the Honor Band 4 comes with claimed water resistance up to 50ATM and supports continuous heart rate measurement.

In terms of connectivity, the Honor Band 4 supports Bluetooth v4.2 and NFC. It includes 6-axis gyroscope for tracking your step count and has both an infrared sensor as well as a PPG heart rate sensor. The Honor Band 4 measures 43×17.2×11.5mm in dimensions and weighs around 23 grams.

It also tracks sleep using Huawei’s proprietary technology called TruSleep 2.0 and is capable of monitoring your complete sleep cycle using cardiopulmonary coupled dynamics spectrum (CPC). The fitness tracker is an interesting addition to Honor’s product lineup but it will have to fight with Mi Band 3, the most popular wearable tracker after Apple Watch.
