Honor claims it sold 1 million smartphones in India this Diwali

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei’s online-focused sub-brand Honor announced that it has sold over one million smartphones during the Diwali festive season sale on Flipkart, Amazon India and the Honor store. The company has seen a 300 percent growth during the Diwali season sale compared to last year.

“We are glad to have received the enormous love and acceptance by our Indian customers for all our devices launched this year. Our campaign #YehDiwaliHonorWali too received a great response from our Indian customers with people sharing their stories of celebrating Diwali with their loved ones. The response during this festive season has been phenomenal and equally motivating. The record-breaking sales are a true testament of our efforts in creating the best offerings for our users and fans. Moreover, we hope to deliver by exceeding expectations in our future endeavours,” Mr. P Sanjeev, Vice President, Sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group said in a press release.

Among the star products were the company’s mid-range Honor 9N and Honor 8X. The Honor 9N is sold exclusively via Flipkart, and price starts at Rs 11,999 for the base variant, whereas the top end variant with 4GB RAM with 128GB storage will set you back by Rs 17,999. The Honor 8X, on the other hand, is sold exclusively via Amazon India, with base variant priced at Rs 14,999, and top model priced at Rs 16,999.

Honor mentioned that it is extending the offers on its best-selling smartphones on Flipkart till stocks last. The offer will be available on Honor 9N, Honor 7S, Honor 9i, Honor 10, and Honor 7A.
