OnePlus 3 and 3T users are currently receiving OxygenOS 5.0.7 with November Android security patch

OnePlus has just announced that it is rolling out the latest version of its in-house Android-based skin OxygenOS for OnePlus 3 and 3T users. This new update brings the OxygenOS version to 5.0.7. OnePlus is rolling out two significant additions to all the OnePlus 3 and 3T devices in the market. The first change here is the addition of the November Android security patch while the second is support for the OnePlus Type-C Bullets earphones. Before this update, both the devices did not support the Type-C Bullets. In addition to these, the update includes “general bug fixes” and performance improvements.

The company took to its official OnePlus forums to reveal details about the new update. As part of the details regarding the new update, the company also added that this update will be rolled out in an incremental manner. This means that similar to almost all other updates, the company will only roll out this update to “a small percentage” of OnePlus 3 and 3T users. This is to ensure that in case a serious system-crippling bug slips out in the final version of the update; the company can stop the rollout. The incremental update will ensure that the faulty update does not reach and affect all the devices in the market.

Manu J, a OnePlus staff member who is responsible for managing the Global Product Operations also asked users to report any bugs that users may notice in the update. This comes days after the closed beta build of Android 9 Pie-based HydrogenOS was leaked out on the internet.

The company also posted a dedicated blog post on the forums inviting participants for its closed beta program for OnePlus 6T users.
