Soon after launching the flagship OnePlus 6T smartphone globally, and in India last month, OnePlus recently unveiled a new “Thunder Purple Edition” color variant in China. Now, the company has revealed that it will launch the new color variant in other markets across the globe, including India. OnePlus has also revealed the India sale date, offers and pricing.
The OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple Edition variant will go on sale in India starting November 16 via Amazon India and OnePlus.in at 2:00PM. The smartphone will also be available across offline retail channels, such as Croma Retail and Reliance Digital, and OnePlus exclusive offline stores on the same day at 11:00 AM. The new color variant will set you back by Rs 41,999, and it will come packed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage.

Talking about launch offers, HDFC credit and debit card users will be able to get an instant discount of Rs 1,500, which will bring down the cost to Rs 40,499. Users interested in buying Amazon Kindle on Amazon India will also get discounts up to Rs 500. The smartphone can also be purchased on no-cost-EMI for 3 months. Lastly, Reliance Jio users can get instant cashback of Rs 5,400 in the form of vouchers, and on recharge of Rs 299, users will also get 3GB data daily. Also, over a period of 36-months, users will get a total of 3TB high-speed 4G data.
OnePlus 6T specifications and features
The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, has a slightly larger 6.41-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen, and sports a 3,700mAh battery. In the photography department, it comes with dual cameras at the back – a combination of 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor.
Up front is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies, video calling and face unlock. The OnePlus 6T runs Android 9 Pie with OxygenOS UI on top. The smartphone also ditches the 3.5mm audio socket for USB Type-C port and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
