OnePlus has partnered with Swedish firm Dirac Research to provide optimized digital sound in current flagship OnePlus 6T. It means Dirac will improve the overall audio experience in OnePlus 6T by enabling Dirac Power Sound and Dirac HD Sound for smartphone speakers and connected headphones.

OnePlus and Dirac Research have been collaborating for three years now. The association started with OnePlus 2 and most recently included the previous flagship OnePlus 6.
OnePlus says that 6T features a high-performance micro-speaker that’s optimized by Dirac Power Sound amd the audio solution company will further elevates its performance “by delivering clearer, more natural sound with richer details and tighter, more powerful bass.”

The OnePlus 6T is company’s first smartphone to ditch the traditional 3.5mm headphone port in favor of the new USB-C standard. To offer better experience, Dirac and OnePlus also worked closely to ensure the OnePlus Bullet earphones produce a listening experience as refined as the smartphone’s embedded speaker. These earphones have been designed specifically for USB-C audio delivery.
