Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro gets Android Oreo update along with November 2018 security patch: Report

Samsung recently treated the two-year-old Galaxy J7 Prime with Android Oreo update, whereas the Galaxy J4, Galaxy J7 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016) were also updated with the latest Android security patches. Now, the Galaxy C7 Pro, which was launched last year in April with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, is now being updated to Android Oreo OS.

According to a report on SamMobile, the update also brings November 2018 security patch, and it is being rolled out to users in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The update carries build number C701FDDU1CRK1. Being an over-the-air (OTA) update, it may take a while before it reaches your device. You can manually check for updates by heading over to Settings > About > Software Updates. What is interesting to note here is that while the flagship Galaxy S9 and Note 9 smartphones are still running on October security patches, it is good to see Samsung treating the popular mid-range smartphones with latest security updates.
