Samsung Galaxy J4 Core Android Go details leaked; launch could be very near

The Galaxy J2 Core smartphone that was announced in August is Samsung’s first Android Go smartphone. The South Korean company seems to be gearing up to launch another Android Go phone – the Galaxy J4 Core. Like the other Android Go phones, the Galaxy J4 Core is also packed with modest specs. The USP of the phone is that it comes with a large 6-inch display.

A report by WinFuture revealed that the entry-level Galaxy J4 Core smartphone is expected to feature a 6-inch LCD display. Since several years, the company has been launching phones with AMOLED screens. In the recent times, the Galaxy J4 Core is the second Samsung phone after the Galaxy A6s to arrive with an LCD screen. It is rumored to support HD+ resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels which indicates that it will offer 18.5:9 Infinity Display design.

The official press render of the smartphone shows that it lacks support for fingerprint scanner. It could be sporting a plastic body with metallic finish. It measures only 8mm in thickness and it weighs 177 grams.

The J4 Core is said to be fueled by 1.4 GHz quad-core processor. It could be featuring the Exynos 7570 chipset, but there is no official confirmation on it yet. The SoC is likely to be accompanied by 1 GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device could be 16 GB and it may feature a microSD card slot for additional storage.

The Android 8.1 Oreo OS (Go Edition) is loaded on the phone which means it tags along other Go version apps such as Maps Go, YouTube Go and so on. For photography, the Galaxy J4 Core it is tipped to arrive with a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel and its rear side could be fitted with an 8-megapixel shooter. A removable 3,300mAh battery is expected to be present on the device.

The Galaxy J4 Core pricing is still under the wraps and there is no news on its availability. The handset is rumored to arrive in color variants like Black, Blue and Gold.
