Samsung had announced its first Android Go smartphone, the Galaxy J2 Core, back in August. And now the South Korean company has unveiled another Android Go phone – the Galaxy J4 Core. Like the other Android Go phones that are available in the market, the Galaxy J4 Core comes with modest specs. The selling point of the phone would be a large 6-inch TFT display, according to a report by AndroidPolice.
The 6-inch display has a resolution of 720×1480, and runs Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition just like its predecessor the Galaxy J2 Core. But the other specs of the new Android Go device seems to have got a bump over the previous generation. The Galaxy J4 Core features a 3,300mAh battery which is an improvement, and it comes with an increased 16GB internal storage that is expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card.
But the other specs have not seen improvement. The new smartphone uses the same 1.4GHz quad-core processor, and 1GB of RAM. But these ought to be enough considering that the whole point of having Android Go is to run things well even on a phone with low specs.
In terms of camera the smartphone features an 8 megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a front camera with a 5-megapixel sensor, and a f/2.2 aperture lens.
The device will be made available in three colors of blue, beige, and black. Though there is no official word on the availability of the device, it has made its appearance on the Samsung website.
