Sources from China had revealed in the previous week that Samsung would be announcing a white edition of the Galaxy Note 9 in Taiwan. Almost on cur, the South Korean tech giant has introduced its flagship phablet in a new color called ‘First Snow White’. The new color variant of the Galaxy Note 9 also features a matching white colored S Pen.
The First Snow White Galaxy Note 9 is exclusively available in Taiwan. The handset carries an internal storage of 128GB, and it is priced at NT$ 30,990 (approximately Rs 70,700). It can be bought through Samsung stores and Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan. Customers who purchase the Galaxy Note 9 First Snow White model before December 31 can take home a Fast Wireless charger that normally costs NT$ 1,190 (approximately Rs 2,700) for free.
The First Snow White color hue joins other color variants of the Galaxy Note 9 such as Ocean Blue, Lavender Purple, Metallic Copper, and Midnight Black. Except for the Ocean Blue edition that comes with a yellow S Pen, the other models of the phablet features same colored S Pen.
Earlier this month, Samsung had released Ice Blue gradient color option for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. This indicates that the Samsung may release a color gradient version of the Galaxy Note 9 in the coming months.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was announced in August this year. It features a 6.4-inch S-AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset powers the Galaxy Note 9 model that was released in markets like the US, LATAM and China, whereas the Exynos 9810 variant of the phablet has been released in EMEA markets.
The Galaxy Note 9 is equipped with dual 12-mgeapixel rear cameras, and 8-megapixel frontal shooter. It is packed with 4,000mAh battery, and comes loaded with Samsung Experience UI based Android Oreo OS. It comes in two models: 8GB RAM+512GB storage, and 6GB RAM+128GB storage. In India, these models are priced at Rs 84,900 and Rs 67,900 respectively.
