Samsung Galaxy R reportedly coming back with Snapdragon 450 to replace Galaxy J series

Samsung might be getting the Galaxy R series back from 2011 to replace it with existing Galaxy J series. According to PhoneArena report based on an industry source, Samsung is looking to bring back Galaxy R series phone with Snapdragon 450.

There were some reports in July too, suggesting Samsung is working on a new smartphone series called Galaxy R. The series was started in 2011 by Samsung with a smartphone that was a toned-down version of Galaxy S2. Samsung had discontinued the device due to some hardware issues and eventually killed the series.

Now the new set of rumors are suggesting that Samsung will introduce Galaxy R phones for a low-end segment. Samsung is also expected to bring infinity display and special camera features to this budget segment from Galaxy J series, which would mean the end of Galaxy J series as well.

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+ smartphones in India, and now according to these wild rumors, there might be last Galaxy J series devices, however, we have doubts. The Galaxy J series has been really popular for the company since the launch of the first Galaxy J series device. It sold more than 60 million Galaxy J series phones in total, and standalone 4 million units of Galaxy J8, Galaxy J6 launched earlier this year.
