Samsung Galaxy S10 variant likely to boast 12GB of RAM, 1TB storage

Very few smartphones command as much attention as Samsung’s coveted Galaxy S lineup. The Galaxy S9 was more of an iterative upgrade this year, and many are anticipating Samsung to go all guns blazing on the Galaxy S10. So far, leaks and rumors make it look really promising. A new report arising from China is suggesting that a Galaxy S10 variant could feature a whopping 12GB of RAM. Now, this was previously hinted via an analyst report, but it was merely a projection.

As per a new report by GF Securities (Hong Kong), Samsung is likely to launch a 12GB RAM smartphone. Furthermore, it would be accompanied by 1TB of storage. Now, this does seem too far stretched as Samsung has not even released a 10GB RAM device yet, and if the company made the jump to 12GB, it would definitely increase prices of the device. However, with Samsung doing a number of firsts with its A-series, there’s no telling what the world number one could do next. Xiaomi’s Black Shark Helo smartphone was the first to rock 10GB of RAM.

Based on the leaks we have come across so far, there will be at least three models of the Galaxy S10 all of which have already received certification at CMIIT, China. However, a new report popped up a week back suggesting an alleged fourth model with quad-camera at the back, and dual cameras at the front. Moreover, the handset would possess a gigantic 6.7-inch screen, and 5G capability. It seems the smartphone maker plans to go overboard with the Galaxy S10, and with all these rumoured specs, we might just see a 12GB model.

The Galaxy S10 will also boast the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 SoC or Samsung’s home-brewn Exynos 9820 fabricated on the 8nm process, depending upon the region. A leaked screen protector popped up two days back revealing an all-screen design suggesting there will be no camera holes like the Galaxy A8s. As it stands, there is no one story regarding the actual look of the 10th anniversary Galaxy S flagship. Samsung is further rumored to be launching the device at MWC 2019, where we also hope to see the Galaxy F (foldable) in February.
