Samsung has started rolling out second Android 9 Pie-based One UI beta update to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ devices. The South Korean company, at its Samsung Developer Conference (SDC 2018), had first revealed its Android 9 Pie-based new interface called One UI. Just two weeks back, it released the Android 9 Pie for its flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones, but it encountered many problems.
Now to fix these issues, Samsung is rolling out firmware version G960FXXU2ZRKL for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, reports Sammobile. The update is not the second phase of the program, but just a second update to fix various bugs, improve overall security, and improve stability of the device.
The Android Pie One UI beta build by Samsung is said to be over 700MB in size, and comes with November 2018 security patch. As per the changelog, the update enhances front camera performance by improving upon brightness of faces in backlit conditions, and fixes a lot of bugs.
The report doesn’t mention anything specific about regions for the update rollout. To remind you, the One UI beta program was only limited to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ initially, but Samsung is now also allowing some Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users in the US to sign up for the program. Although, the official Android Pie One UI beta build release for Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come in January.

With the new One UI, Samsung is focusing on scalability, where it will work on small screen phones, as well as on tablets. One UI also focuses on one-handed use, making it easier to navigate on large screen phones.
