If you’re in the market for a new flagship smartphone, Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are undoubtedly two of the best options you can consider. Launched earlier this year, the S9 duo is packed with features, including everything from top-of-the-line hardware to great cameras. Also, with their curved AMOLED panels and glass construction, Samsung’s top-tier smartphones look every bit as premium as they are.
That’s all great, but there’s also one more important element when it comes to the design of a smartphone (or anything, for that matter), and that’s color. Available in shades like Coral Blue, Titanium Gray, Lilac Purple, Burgandy Red, and Sunrise Gold, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ definitely grab the attention wherever they are. However, as great as they are, they pale in comparison to the new ‘Polaris Blue’ color.
Introduced earlier this month as ‘Ice Blue’ in China, the stunning new hue is the first gradient color for Samsung’s flagship duo. It has a dual-tone finish, with the upper-half of the smartphone having a cool blue color and the lower-half sporting a silver-white shade. The two colors merge together in the middle, creating a gradient pattern that looks amazing.

A picture of ‘Polaris Blue’ Galaxy S9 tweeted by reliable tipster Ice Universe (see above) shows the color and its finish to be extremely glossy. While it does look great, it’s definitely going to be a smudge and fingerprint magnet.

Originally launched in China and later South Korea, the new color, according to a report by GSMArena, will be also available in Germany early next month. That said, there’s no information as to when (if ever) the ‘Polaris Blue’ Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be launched in other regions across the world.
