WhatsApp started rolling out stickers support for the Android, iOS and web platforms in late October. Since then, the Google Play Store is exploding with a variety of sticker packs submitted by myriad users and developers. To make the experience seamless, WhatsApp is working to add a sticker search option for the users.
As per the WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s latest beta build drops the hints about the search feature coming for the stickers. That’s much needed since the emojis and GIFs have the search option too.
For those who are yet to get the Stickers for their WhatsApp, do note that your phone will install Sticker packs as a separate app. It won’t be packaged or clubbed inside WhatsApp. So be careful with the number of Sticker packs you install.
Currently, there is no restriction or limit on the number of stickers you can add to your WhatsApp account. Also, there is no regulation on whether any smartly crafted sticker pack would crash your WhatsApp — just like a message or bunch of emojis did in the past.
You can also create custom stickers as well as sticker packs for the Android and iOS platforms.
So far, there’s no timeline on when WhatsApp will add the sticker search feature but expect it to arrive any time soon. Meanwhile, keep your WhatsApp app updated.
