It’s been just eight months since Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. However, the hugely-popular smartphone, which is a leader in the mid-range segment, is about to get a successor already. Xiaomi has an event scheduled for 12:00PM in New Delhi today, where the company will be unveiling the Redmi Note 6 Pro.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro will be an incremental upgrade over its predecessor. Since it has launched in other markets, we already know the kind of specifications and features it will boast. On the spec sheet, there is very little that differentiates the Redmi Note 6 Pro from the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The two big differentiators though include a notch at the top of the display, and dual-selfie cameras at the front.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro will launch with a 6.26-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 636 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM, and up to 64GB storage. Other features include dual-camera setup (12-megapixel+5-megapixel) at the back, and a dual-camera setup (20-megapixel+2-megapixel) at the front. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery, and runs Android Oreo.
