OnePlus 6 OxygenOS Open Beta 8 rolling out with audio tuner, improved camera and more

OnePlus has just launched it’s latest Open Beta build for the OnePlus 6. The new build comes weeks after the company launched the Open Beta version 7 for the device. This new version was announced in a dedicated post on the OnePlus forums along with a detailed changelog of all the new things that developers have added. According to the changelog, this build comes with a number of new features and bug fixes in four sections of the operating system. These sections include System, Communication, Launcher, and the Camera.

According to the changelog for the latest Open Beta build, OnePlus has just introduced a dedicated audio tuner for all USB Type-C and Bluetooth earphones that users use with the device. This indicates that users can change the audio profile of their earphones separately without needing to tweak the audio profiles of the entire OS. Developers have also improved the user interface of the Phone dialer in this update. In addition to that, the company claims that it has also improved the interface of the Call History section.

Moving to the changes made in the Launcher, OnePlus seems to have finally added support for the dark theme to the Dashboard of the Shelf. Last but not least, the company also claimed that it has improved the quality of videos that OnePlus 6 records in the slow motion mode.

Considering that this is an Open Beta build, the operating system may come with some bugs. As part of the announcement post, the company has emphasized that the users need to file bug reports with the help of the OnePlus Community app in case they find any problems.

This new update comes just a day after OnePlus launched the OxygenOS 9.0.7 update for OnePlus 6 devices in the market.
