Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 MIUI 10 stable update rolling out

The MIUI team that deals with the development of custom firmware for Xiaomi smartphones, has announced the release of a new MIUI 10 stable version update for Xiaomi Mi MIX 3. The version number for this update is MIUI 10.0.12.0, and it is about 2.1GB in size. The update focuses on fixing some major bugs related to the slider function of the smartphone, and adds new features to it.

All the new sliders settings are found under Settings. Xiaomi has now added five new sliding screen sound effects, which users can configure. The company has also added a new feature called ‘One Push and Reach’, which will let users open a particular app just by sliding the screen. The new update also fixes bugs related to LED flash, and some graphics glitches in night mode shots. As per reports, the update is gradually being rolled out to units in China.

Xiaomi is also seeking for 25 MI Fan beta testers to test and give feedback on the final global variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 with MIUI 10 update. To recap, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ (2340×1080 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 93.4 percent screen to body ratio. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with up to 10GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. The base model comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Other two variants come with 8GB RAM along with 128GB internal storage or 256GB internal storage.

The device features a dual 12-megapixel camera setup on the back, where the primary sensor sports f/1.8 aperture with OIS support while the secondary sensor comes with a 2x optical focal length and f/2.4 aperture. The Mi MIX 3 is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 10W wireless charging support.

Recently, Xiaomi also revealed that a 5G edition for the Mi MIX 3 will be launched in the first quarter of 2019, which would be exclusive to only 5G-ready markets across the world.
