The Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro has been launched in China. The Chinese company unveiled the Redmi K30 5G back in December 2019, which is already available in India as Poco X2. Now, the brand has taken wraps off its device’s Pro version. Some of the top features of the Redmi K30 Pro are a Snapdragon 865 SoC, 4,700mAh battery, and a quad-camera setup. The new Redmi phone comes with support for 5G and has a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 rear sensor. Read on to find out everything about the Redmi K30 Pro.

The Redmi K30 Pro features a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. It comes with a 92.7 screen-to-body ratio and 1200nits of peak brightness as well. It is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, which is also powering the Realme X50 Pro and iQOO 3. The latest 5G Redmi phone supports UFS 3.1 storage for faster file transfer.

The Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro features a pop-up selfie camera setup. Comparatively, the standard Redmi K30 doesn’t offer a motorized camera and instead, sports a hole-punch display design. At the back, there is a quad-camera setup, which is arranged in a circular module. The setup includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor. It supports 3x optical zoom as well as dual optical image stabilization. There is also a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 2-megapixel sensor. It also supports saving still images in HEIF file format.
For selfies, you get a 20-megapixel camera. It supports the vapor chamber (VC) liquid cooling system to dissipate heat. It will sport a 3.5mm audio jack and an infrared (IR) blaster as well. The Redmi K30 Pro comes with a big 4,700mAh battery, while its standard version ships with a 4,500mAh battery. The new one comes with support for 33W fast charging tech. In terms of connectivity, it supports dual-mode 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and other options. The smartphone ships with Android 10 out-of-the-box.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand is offering the 5G handset in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. The phone is being offered in four color options, including Moonlight White, Sky Blue, Purple, and Space Grey. Xiaomi is yet to unveil the Redmi K30 Pro 5G’s India launch details.
