LG has launched a new Folder 2 flip phone, but the latest device from the company comes with 4G support. The handset comes with two screens and entry-level specifications. The LG Folder 2 is basically aimed at those whose budget is restricted, and even prefers a basic phone, which is simple to use. The flip phone is currently available in only South Korea.
It is a successor to the original LG Folder phone, which made its debut back in February 2018. The device is being offered in two color options, including Platinum Grey and White. As far as pricing is concerned, the LG Folder 2 comes with a price label of 198,000 won, which is around Rs 12,400 in India. The company will start selling the handset from April 17. The LG Folder 2 weighs about 127 in grams. The latest LG phone comes with two displays – one of them has a 2.8-inch QVGA LCD primary screen. It features a 0.9-inch secondary monochrome panel, which displays notifications for texts and calls. At the back of the device, there is a 2-megapixel camera sensor. It runs Android OS and packs a 1,470mAh battery under the hood.
One will also find an SOS key on the device. This key will help users send an emergency SMS with location information by just pressing it three times and details will be sent to a pre-registered phone number. The LG Folder 2 comes equipped with a T9 keypad with a hotkey for accessing AI voice service. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset. LG will be selling its latest flip phone with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
