This new device will likely launch sometime later this year. The company has likely delayed the launch of the smartphone due to the global pandemic coronavirus. HMD Global is likely to improve several aspects of the camera-centric smartphone with the rumored successor. According to a report from NokiaPowerUser, sources close to the company have confirmed some details regarding the smartphone. The 9.3 PureView will come with PureDisplay V3 along with a 120Hz refresh rate. These sources also confirmed that the smartphone will feature an under-display selfie camera. The company was testing both the under-display selfie camera as well as a traditional pop-up selfie camera. During the testing, HMD Global found the under-display selfie-camera a “stable enough” solution. The sources also claim that “PureDisplay V3” is the best that they have seen on any smartphone.

Taking a look at other specifications of the rumored flagship smartphone, we will likely get a 108-megapixel primary camera sensor. In addition, HMD Global will also likely add a 64-megapixel sensor in the Penta camera setup on the back. Beyond this, the company Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas also hinted at possible color options for the upcoming smartphone.

The Nokia 9.3 PureView will likely come with Polar Night, and Copper color options. Digging deeper in the specifications, the device may feature Snapdragon 865 SoC with a 6.29-inch POLED display panel. It is also expected to come with a 4,500mAh battery with support for Qi wireless charging, and USB Type-C. The company could launch the smartphone sometime around August or September 2020.
