Ahead of the April 14 launch, OnePlus has revealed a few details, while leaks have hinted at design, specifications, and features of the 8 and 8 Pro. The latter just recently made an appearance on Geekbench 5 with 12GB RAM and Android 10. Now, a real-life image of the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro has been spotted on Weibo. The leaked image of the OnePlus 8 series shows front design, and screen refresh rate settings window. Read on to find out everything latest about the upcoming OnePlus phones.
It seems like a lot of smartphone companies will launch phones with a 90Hz or 120Hz display. The latest leak shows that the OnePlus 8 will also have a 90Hz display and 8 Pro will feature a 120Hz screen, backing previous rumors. Back in January 2020, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau already hinted that the new 120Hz display tech will be available on the upcoming OnePlus smartphone. The leaked image also reveals that the 90Hz/120Hz refresh rate will be optional. This is good news for those who don’t want a high refresh rate display in order to save some battery life.

The leak further reveals that the device will arrive with a curved display, which is in-line with the past rumors. Both the OnePlus devices are also likely to come with a punch-hole display design, as per the image shared by Slashleaks. If rumors are to be believed, the 8 Pro could feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
It is expected to launch with 12GB of RAM and Snapdragon 865 SoC. The smartphone is tipped to house a 4,500mAh battery and support 55W fast charging. On the back, we might see a 64-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX686 sensor. This year, OnePlus 8 Pro might finally support wireless charging and official IP rating for its flagship smartphone.
