A few months back, Oppo launched its Android 10-based ColorOS 7. The company has already started rolling the new custom skin for its phones. However, the update is being released for Chinese Oppo devices. The three smartphones that recently received the ColorOS 7 update are Oppo Reno, Reno 10x Zoom and Reno Ace. The Chinese company will release the update for more devices in April.
Oppo has shared a list on Weibo, revealing the name of smartphones that will get ColorOS 7 this month. As per the list, the Oppo Find X, Find X Lamborghini Edition, and the Find X Super Flash Edition should start getting the ColorOS 7 update today. The Oppo Reno 2 will get it on April 17, and the Oppo R17 series will receive the ColorOS 7 update starting April 20.

The Oppo R17 series include standard version, R17 New Year Edition, R17 Pro, R17 Pro New Year Edition and
R17 Pro King of Glory Edition. The company will roll out this software update for the Oppo Reno Z too on April 20. Lastly, the Oppo Reno2 Z should get the ColorOS 7 update on April 25. It is important to note that the brand will be releasing the software update for the Chinese units only.
So, if you are based in China and own any of these aforementioned Oppo phones, you should get the notification for the update. Alternatively, users can also check for it by heading over to the phone’s Settings section > Software Update menu.
Oppo ColorOS 7 (India-based features)
The change that Oppo users will notice in ColorOS 7 is the redesigned icons. The brand has redesigned the mode of the icons in the OS with “new material design icons.” These pebble-style icons are compliant with Google kits. It has also introduced new artistic wallpapers as a part of its Artist Wallpaper Project. Oppo has also introduced nature-based sound effects across the operating system.
It has added Oppo Relax that will provide access to newer soothing sound effects, alerts, notification sounds, and tones. This new app will launch at the beginning of 2020. Oppo has also made improvements to the three-finger gestures on ColorOS 7. One will also notice the much anticipated Dark Mode across the entire operating system.
