Late last month, Apple held its second annual hardware launch event in New York where it unveiled the new iPad Pro, new MacBook Air and the Mac mini. Soon after the event, Apple did release India pricing, but the company did not reveal the availability date. Now, thanks to listing on Apple premium reseller Maple and Unicorn, availability details are now clear.

Spotted by Gadgets360, the iPad Pro (2018) will go on sale in India on November 18. Pre-orders for the same have started too. Buyers can avail 5 percent discount when they purchase using Citibank or Axis bank credit cards. No cost EMI option is also available via Bajaj Finance. After the cashback and EMI, the effective monthly cost comes down to Rs 3,183.
Talking about the pricing, the iPad Pro (2018) will be offered in two sizes – one with 11-inch display and the other with 12.9-inch display. The iPad Pro (2018) 11-inch Wi-Fi only model is priced at Rs 71,900 (64GB), Rs 85,900 (256GB), Rs 103, 990 (512GB) and Rs 139,900 (1TB). Similarly, the Wi-Fi + LTE models are priced at Rs 85,900 (64GB), Rs 99,900 (256GB), Rs 117,900 (512GB) and Rs 153,900 (1TB).
The other is the iPad Pro (2018) 12.9-inch model, which is also offered in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + LTE model. The Wi-Fi only model is priced at Rs 89,900 (64GB), Rs 103,900 (256GB), Rs 121,900 (512GB) and Rs 157,900 (1TB). Similarly, the Wi-Fi + LTE model is priced at Rs 103,900 (64GB), Rs 117,900 (256GB), Rs 135,900 (512GB) and Rs 171,900 (1TB).

As mentioned above, the new 2018 iPad Pro is offered in 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes but have a much smaller footprint thanks to the new edge-to-edge display design. Unlike the new iPhones that come with OLED panels, the new iPad Pro still come with Retina LCD displays, but with higher resolution and pixel density.
Besides the bigger display, Apple has also ditched the home button with Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and has completely migrated to Face ID for biometric authentication. It is worth noting that Face ID works in both portrait and landscape mode. And has there is no home button, you’ll have to use gestures to navigate through the UI.
Under the hood, the iPad Pros are powered by an A12X bionic chipset made on 7nm process. It has 10 billion transistors, an octa-core CPU, and 7-core GPU. There is also a dedicated neural engine for machine learning and AI related tasks. Lastly, Apple has also ditched the Lightning Port on the tablet, and switched over to USB Type-C port. The iPad Pros also have front and rear cameras. At the back you have a 12-megapixel sensor, and a 7-megapixel sensor on the front, along with True Depth sensor for 3D face scanning.
