This will be a good holiday season for Xbox One users because Microsoft has made PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds free on its flagship Xbox One platform. PUBG has been a big hit for PC as well as the Mobile platforms, but the Xbox segment is doing well too and has garnered a lot of the attention. PUBG has recently launched the its event modes on Xbox and the latest one to hit the Xbox is the Overpower event mode.
Now, PUBG devs have made the official announcement that PUBG is coming to Xbox Game Pass. The official PUBG Xbox blog reads, “With an Xbox One community of over 10 million players already, PUBG will be available to all Xbox Game Pass members beginning on November 12.”
PUBG was part of the Xbox Free Play Days program as well and was free to play for all Xbox One users until Sunday, November 11.
Microsoft launched PUBG has a console exclusive Xbox Early Access in December 2017 and it was recently launched officially for all the players. And with the news of PUBG coming to Sony PlayStation soon, Microsoft thought it would up the ante by making the game free for its users.
Unlike its competition Fortnite, PUBG is not yet available on all the popular gaming platforms. PUBG is available on PC, Xbox One, Android and iOS, while Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS. Fortnite is free on all the platforms while PUBG isn’t.

Microsoft will be making PUBG free but players need an Xbox Live Gold subscription which costs Rs 726 per month and Rs 4,360 for a year. Microsoft has shown that it is inclined to maximize on gaming this year and hence we can expect some more such deals from the company.
