With 2018 coming to the end, almost all major launches of the year are done. However, with big industry events like 2019’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and Mobile World Congress (MWC) just a few months away, rumors regarding upcoming launches of the tech world have already started building up. Now, some new information has surfaced regarding Asus, and if it’s true, it seems the Taiwanese technology major has big plans for 2019.
ASUS ZenFone ZB634KL should launch "SOON" ™. Comes with triple cam setup on rear.

According to a recent tweet (see above) by reliable tipster Roland Quandt (@rquandt), Asus is working on a smartphone with a triple camera system at the back. As per Quandt, the new Zenfone, bearing model identifier ZB634KL, should launch soon.
Also, Russian tech blog Mobiletelefon has claimed that the upcoming smartphone is the successor to Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1), which launched earlier this year. The blog based the claim on its analysis of the identifier ZB634KL, where the first two alphabets (ZB) are same as those in the model identifier ZB601KL, which belongs to the Zenfone Max Pro (M1).
If Mobiletelefon is right, Asus’ Zenfone Max Pro (M2) could come with three cameras at the back. The blog further notes that the number ‘63’ in the model identifier means that the smartphone will have a 6.3-inch display, while the alphabets ‘K’ and ‘L’ mean that it’ll be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and have 4G LTE capability, respectively.

Don't be surprised when ASUS launches what I think is its first Chrome OS tablet ~10inch screen. Could be one of the devices we get to see at #CES2019.

Interestingly, smartphones are not the only gadgets that Asus is planning for next year. If another tweet (see above) by Roland Quandt is to be believed, the company is also prepping its first Chrome OS tablet. Having a screen size of 10.1-inch, Asus’ tablet could launch at the upcoming CES 2019.
