Poco F1 Armoured Edition reportedly coming in two more variants soon

Xiaomi might introduce two more variants of Poco F1 Armoured Edition, claims a report by Mysmartprice. The special edition of Poco F1 with Kevlar back currently comes in only one variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration in most markets.

According to alleged report, Xiaomi is planning to launch Poco F1 Armoured Edition with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variants. It is noted that these variants will be priced higher than the standard Poco F1 models with 6GB RAM.

Xiaomi launched the Poco F1 to counter OnePlus’ growing popularity in the premium mid-range segment. The Poco F1 comes with top-of-the-line hardware, but with at a cheaper price tag of Rs 20,999. Xiaomi says that the handset has managed a lot of consumer interest, and it has plans to offer next version of Android (probably the Android Q) to the Poco F1 users as well.

At present, Xiaomi’s Poco F1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI with a skin on top. At the launch, company had announced that the device will get Android 9 Pie update by Q4, 2018, and the company recently confirmed that they are in the final phase of delivering their promise.

Under the hood, Xiaomi Poco F1 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage. It features a 6.18-inch FullHD+ notched display, with a resolution of 1080×2246 pixels, and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with Poco launcher on top.

For imaging, the Xiaomi Poco F1 has a dual-camera system at the back, made up of a 12-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. There’s also a 20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone features all standard connectivity options, and is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
