Following the rumors of Samsung’s next year flagship devices Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, it is being widely reported that Samsung may also bring in a lighter version of the smartphone next year. Unlike previous lighter version of Samsung phones, the Galaxy S10 Lite is said to sport similar specifications as that of Galaxy S10 in a compact form factor.
According to the latest information by Ben Geskin on Twitter, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will feature Samsung’s latest innovation, the flat Infinity- O display which it recently announced at SDC 2018 alongside Infinity U and Infinity V.
As per Geskin, Samsung may include a fingerprint scanner at the side, and a dual camera setup on the rear. Previous, rumors suggested that Galaxy S10 Lite will ship with single-rear camera. It is suggested that Samsung might go with Snapdragon 845 or yet-to-launch Snapdragon 8150.
Additionally, the tweet also notes various variants of the Galaxy S10 Lite. The handset is speculated to come in two RAM variants of either 4GB or 6GB, but with 64GB of internal storage. There could also be one high-end model of the phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Geskin suggests S10 Lite to be the “budget-model”, although specifications doesn’t appear of a cheap smartphone at least. Having said that, the budget version could just mean a slightly cheaper version of Galaxy S10 with “Lite” moniker. We are quite far from the expected launch of these flagships, so any information at this point should be taken with a pinch of salt.
As for now, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ smartphones along with Galaxy S10 Lite at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in February next year.
