Xiaomi Notebook powered by Intel Core i3 processor launched in China, price starts around Rs 32,750

Xiaomi has announced three new products in China, which includes a 65-inch 4K LED smart TV, and two new Mi Notebooks. The smart TV comes with PatchWall UI based on Android. It is powered by a quad-core chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. But the highlight of the event was the two affordable Xiaomi Notebooks.

The base model is priced at RMB 3,099, which is roughly Rs 32,750 in India. It features a 15.6-inch Ultra HD display with anti-glare coating, GizmoChina reports. Under the hood is Intel’s 8th generation Core i3 processor that has two cores and four threads clocked a maximum turbo frequency of 3.9GHz. The laptop also comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage, which is an SSD drive. And for heat dissipation, there is a dual-fan cooling system too. The keyboard on the laptop also comes with a separate numeric keypad.

The second laptop is priced slightly higher at RMB 3,799, which roughly translates to Rs 40,000. The laptop weighs 1.3kg, and measures 14.8mm in thickness. Featuring a 13.3-inch display, the display resolution isn’t known as of now.

Just like the base model, this one too is powered by Intel’s 8th generation Core i3 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD storage. The laptop also comes with a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. Both notebooks are set to go on sale in China on November 11, which is commonly celebrated at Singles Day. While Xiaomi is also expected to launch its Notebook laptops in India, there is no word on any date yet.
