Samsung recently pushed a software update for the Galaxy M31 smartphone. While the newly released April 2020 security patch was supposed to resolve several security issues, it has reportedly come with a few bugs causing issues to users. Many users reported about the Galaxy M31 update issue via Twitter and other online platforms. However, the issue doesn’t seem to have affected a lot of Samsung users, as per a report.
SamMobile reported that Samsung has taken notice of it and stopped rolling out the Galaxy M31 update. The South Korean giant is soon expected to roll out another update to fix everything. At the moment, it is unknown as to what is causing the issue on the Samsung Galaxy M31. Users have reported that their device gets stuck during the installation process.

The software update that supposedly bricked the Galaxy M31 phones had the M315FXXU1ATD1 firmware version. If you haven’t yet downloaded the Galaxy M31 update, then it is advisable to not take the risk and download it. It is wiser to not install the software update as bricking the handset will mean visiting the Samsung service centre. Also, this won’t be possible due to the ongoing lockdown period in India.
Besides, just a few days back, Samsung rolled out One UI 2.1 update for the latest Galaxy S10 Lite. The update is being released in Spain, and other markets should follow in coming weeks. It added a handful of new features with April 2020 security patch. The latest One UI 2.1 bumped up the software version to G770FXXU2BTD2. It will reportedly offer improved AR Emoji with manual editing and enhanced facial expression recognition. The changelog mentions more organized Gallery, Quick Crop, Quick Share, Music Share, and an updated Samsung keyboard with multilingual translation.
