Xiaomi Mi A3: Android 10 update pulled for the third time due to bugs

It looks like Xiaomi has pulled the Android 10 update for its Mi A3 for the third time due to bugs. The latest cancellation comes just days after the company started rolling out the apparently fixed update. However, Xiaomi Mi A3 users took to different online forums to share details about bugs with the latest update. The complaints are currently available on Mi forum, Twitter, and even Reddit. As previously noted, the company has already pulled two Android 10 update builds due to wide-spread problems. Taking a look at a new report, it does not look like Xiaomi has been able to fix the issues. Let’s check the report for the issues with the latest update.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 build pulled again; details

According to a report from PiunikaWeb, Mi A3 users outlined multiple issues with the new update. Some users noted that the update results in excessive battery drain, random reboots, problems with the fingerprint scanner and lag in the camera app. The report also noted that Xiaomi also rolled out an Android 9 Pie-based update in March for users. This update was aimed at Xiaomi Mi A3 users without the previous two buggy Android 10 updates. Some users also revealed that they did not observe any difference between the current build and the last one.

Just days after the roll-out, a Xiaomi customer support representative confirmed that the update was pull. As per the report, the support representative added, “due to some bug might be that update pulled back.” This came right after a Xiaomi Mi A3 user noted that the latest build update notification disappeared from their device. We are not sure if and when the company will roll out a fully fixed update build.
