Huawei’s sub-brand Honor isn’t quite as quick to launch as the parent brand, but its devices still manage to get quite a bit of attention. Last year, Honor launched the View10 in December, which was its first device in India with the HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. And now, according a new report, we could see the successor to that phone, the Honor View20, launched soon.
A new listing on the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website, spotted by MySmartPrice, shows two new phones from Huawei. Not much is known about the devices for now, but based on the timing, it could well be the Honor View20. The phone could sport a notched screen, triple-camera setup and HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset under the hood, while running on EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie.
Furthermore, fast charging could also be supported, along with up to 8GB of RAM. The device is likely to clash with the recently announced Honor Magic 2, but could sit in a slightly lower price bracket in order to give users more choice. While the Honor Magic 2 does have the more striking design and styling, the View20 is likely to be a more toned-down and affordable option, while retaining the same level of hardware and performance.

The phone will be the successor to the Honor View10, which was launched late last year. Along with sporting what was then the flagship chipset from Huawei, the View10 also came with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen, a dual-camera setup and was one of the first smartphones to sport dual-4G connectivity, where both SIM slots could connect to a 4G network simultaneously.
