Use WhatsApp Stickers to wish your family and friends a happy Diwali

WhatsApp Stickers is the latest feature that developers of the app have added to the multimedia messaging platform. This new feature allows users to send stickers to each other in place of the already existing emojis or images or even video. The interesting part about this is that it is not as storage intensive and does not clutter the gallery of the user when compared to images and videos. Interested developers can also make third-party sticker pack apps so that other WhatsApp users can add them to the app and use later.

As previously discussed, WhatsApp Sticker packs are the next viral thing where Stick pack apps that are made by developers can become popular. This is not limited to a certain type of stickers as the development regarding such apps is only getting started. As discussed previously, sticker packs in regional languages hold the potential to grow and get popular fast. Considering that it is almost Diwali, one may think about using WhatsApp Stickers to wish their family and friends instead of the usual images, videos or even GIFs along with the “text” messages that you may have read a number of times.

Taking a look at how stickers are somewhat less storage intensive and don’t clutter the image gallery, the demand is quite legitimate. Given this is the scenario, we have discovered a Sticker pack app that is the right fit for your needs.

We have compiled a few steps below so help you install the sticker pack and use the stickers to wish your family and friends on this festive occasion of Diwali.

Note: These stickers are only available on Android devices. iOS users can view the stickers but they can’t add the stickers on their devices.

Ensuring that you can use WhatsApp Stickers

However, before we get started, one thing to note here is that WhatsApp Stickers feature is currently available in a limited capacity and it is gradually rolling out to all the WhatsApp users. There are two ways to ensure that you can use the sticker functionality. The first one is to be on the beta version of WhatsApp. Though, it would mean that you are running a somewhat less stable version of the app with almost daily updates that may break things.

The second way is to uninstall and reinstall the WhatsApp on their Android or iOS device. Before you go about uninstalling the app, make sure to take a backup of your WhatsApp conversations from the “Chat backup” option in the “Chats” menu in WhatsApp settings. This is essential if you want to save all the WhatsApp chat history and users who don’t want to save the chat history can skip this.

We would recommend users to enable the Google Drive cloud backup for their WhatsApp chat history. This will ensure that the chat history is preserved in case of loss or permanent damage to the phone. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app will force enable the function on your Android or iOS device.

Now that we have enabled the feature, let’s go about installing the sticker app and adding the Sticker pack to your WhatsApp.

Step One

Head to Google Play Store and search for the app “Diwali Stickers for WhatsApp, WAStickerApps” or head to bit.ly/2yT9k0M to install the app on your device. The app only amounts to 5.4MB in storage.

Step Two

Once the app is installed, open the app and you will find two sticker packs with the first being “Diwali Stickers” and the second being “Cracker Stickers”. The first pack amounts to 0.95MB and the second pack amounts to 577KB.

Add both stickers to WhatsApp with the “+” symbol towards the right side of the pack.

Step Three

After you have added the stickers to WhatsApp, head to WhatsApp, click on the “Emoji” symbol towards the left of the text filed in any chat conversation to then tap on the Stickers symbol towards the bottom, right next to “Emoji” and “GIF” symbol to access the newly added stickers.

Step Four

Send the stickers to your family and friends.
