Samsung’s foldable smartphone announcement is expected at company’s upcoming annual developer conference being held in San Francisco between November 7 and 8. Although this won’t be first foldable Android smartphone because just last week a startup, Royole, announced world’s first commercial foldable smartphone “FlexPai”.
While DJ Koh, President of Samsung’s mobile division, already confirmed about the development long back, it is now the first time that Samsung has officially teased something about the foldable smartphone. The South Korean company on Facebook and Twitter posted an image of Samsung logo in shape of a foldable phone display.
Last week, a Korean website reported about Samsung’s plans of foldable smartphone suggesting that there will not be a working version of the phone at Samsung Developer Conference (SDC). It noted that Samsung Galaxy F could come with a unique UI and a special version of Android OS.

Samsung is said to be considering two prototypes as of now, out of which one of them can make it to the commercial market as Galaxy F or Galaxy X. Sammobile has got some more details on the phone, and according to their tweet, Samsung’s rumored Galaxy F is “confirmed” to come in 512GB internal storage with dual-SIM support and in Silver color.

Going by rumors, Samsung Galaxy F could use Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8150. The two Super AMOLED displays are said to be of 7.29-inches diagonally. The secondary display could measure 4.58-inches. When folded, the Galaxy F (codenamed Winner) is expected to work like a regular smartphone.
